About The Position
InstaSwim connects independent swim instructors with families seeking private swim lessons at home and community pools in Buffalo and nearby towns. Families book through InstaSwim, and instructors choose which lesson offers to accept and set their own schedules. InstaSwim’s support team handles bookings, billing, and scheduling questions so instructors can focus on teaching. Instructors teach private one-on-one and small-group lessons at families’ pools, tailoring each lesson to swimmers’ ages, abilities, and goals. They track progress, adjust lessons as swimmers improve, maintain a safe and fun learning environment, and travel to lessons within the distance they choose. Instructors receive lesson offers as families book in their area; offer availability depends on local demand. The role is an independent contractor position, with liability insurance coverage for instructors who complete onboarding while teaching InstaSwim lessons. Onboarding is completed online before instructors begin receiving offers.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have current CPR and First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain certification before teaching.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be legally able to work in the United States.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Have a professional, positive attitude with children and adults.
Nice To Haves
- Swim teaching experience is a plus.
