Private Swim Instructor
About The Position
InstaSwim is hiring professional, experienced private swim instructors to teach lessons at clients’ private homes and community pools in their local area and surrounding cities. Instructors receive client matches, choose which clients to work with, set their own schedules, and select a preferred travel radius. Lessons may be private or small-group and should be personalized to each student’s abilities and learning style. The role includes travel to lesson locations and responsibility for student safety throughout instruction. Payment is made within 24 hours after each lesson through PayPal or other methods. InstaSwim provides coverage under its general liability policy and pays for the background check. Instructors may be able to begin teaching within 24–48 hours after the interview, depending on onboarding.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of swim instruction experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
- Reliable transportation.
- Swim instruction equipment, if needed.
- Must be based in the United States and have U.S. work authorization.
- Professional and positive attitude, especially when working with children and adults.
- Confidence creating and delivering personalized lesson plans.
- Must clear a background check.
Responsibilities
- Conduct private one-to-one and small-group swim lessons.
- Schedule lessons with flexibility.
- Travel safely to and from clients’ pool locations.
- Create custom lesson plans tailored to each student’s ability and learning style.
- Assess student skills, monitor progress, and adapt lessons to meet student and client needs.
- Provide a fun, complete, and tracked learning experience for students and clients.
- Ensure the student’s safety at all times.
