About The Position
Northwest Respiratory Services is a leading provider of oxygen & respiratory products throughout the Midwest & Northern Rockies. Working from our Eagan, MN office, we are currently in search of a seasoned Private Pay Collections Specialist.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of collections experience, preferably in DME/HME or medical
- Well versed in medical insurance and terminology
- Great communication skills written and verbal, contacting insurances, facilities, patients, etc.
- Work individual feedback sessions, staff meetings and annual training and/or competency tests
Responsibilities
- Work assigned reports, dashboards, and aging queues daily
- Manage AR of private pay accounts across all aging buckets (current, 30/60/90+ days)
- Within 24 hours (or otherwise timely manner): Make collection calls to patients and/or their families
- Respond to collection calls from patients and/or their families
- Identify correct responsible party, insurance and make corrects to invoices
- Work aged receivables
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
- Meet individual and department goals
- Utilize Brightree software
