About The Position

Musicologie is seeking a Private Music Teacher for their Chesterfield location, opening in 2026. This role is for an expert musician who is passionate about introducing music to people of all ages. The ideal candidate is friendly, warm, a great communicator, and enthusiastic about helping students overcome challenges. Musicologie values the dedication musicians put into their craft and recognizes the importance of the student-teacher relationship. They foster a community of musicians and music lovers focused on providing delightful music lessons through the Musicologie Method (education through play in a safe environment), a Philosophy of Education (everyone deserves a great teacher), comprehensive training, and innovative programs. As a teacher, you will guide students of all ages and abilities in achieving their musical goals, encourage community involvement through performances and group classes, and dedicate yourself to learning Musicologie's philosophy, curriculum, and processes. You will be committed to delivering outstanding lessons and collaborating with colleagues to enhance collective capabilities.

Requirements

• An excellent musician.
• Excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
• An expert communicator in person and by email.
• Extremely organized.
• Self-motivated.
• Curious and inspired to learn new things.
• Able to work evening hours.
• A bachelor’s degree in your instrument, or equivalent experience.
• Teaching experience on your instrument.
• Experience working with kids and families.

• Serve as a friendly guide on their musical journey.
