About The Position

Vista’s 10-week Summer Analyst Program takes place exclusively in Austin and provides undergraduate students with hands-on private equity experience and exposure to multiple funds: Endeavor, Foundation, and Flagship. Analysts build skills in valuation, due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio value creation through formal training, day-to-day mentorship, and regular feedback. They also meet colleagues across Vista and learn how portfolio operations, fundraising, and other functions connect to the investment process. Successful analysts may be considered for full-time opportunities beginning in Summer 2029. Those positions are expected to be in Chicago, Austin, or San Francisco, subject to business needs and availability. Applicants must research Vista’s funds, submit an application form indicating fund preferences, and complete an online cognitive assessment by November 17, 2026, at 11:55 P.M. CT. A link to the assessment is sent automatically after application submission. Applicants must complete every assessment prompt and return to the application portal for the application to show as complete. Vista also recommends completing a short Forage job simulation to learn about private equity analysis, deal evaluation, financial analysis, and communicating investment insights.
