Private Duty Pediatric Nurse - Havre De Grace, MD
About The Position
The agency is hiring an LPN or RN to provide one-on-one nursing care to an 8-year-old female client in her home in Havre De Grace, Maryland. The client has a G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator. The available shift is Saturday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The agency is willing to train qualified and interested nurses in G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care. The role includes assessing the client, administering medications and treatments according to the Plan of Care, and documenting nursing notes clearly and concisely. The agency describes itself as Joint Commission Accredited and says it has provided home care to adults and pediatric patients for over 38 years.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Maryland nursing license or multistate compact license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Confidence working independently.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of G-tube and tracheostomy care; qualified and interested candidates may be trained.
- Ventilator experience; qualified candidates may be trained.
- Pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one in the client's home.
- Complete nursing assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient's Plan of Care.
- Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.
