Private Duty Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes. This day-shift role offers a consistent, flexible schedule and the opportunity to build relationships with clients and support their progress. Clients range in age from infants to geriatric patients and may have varied diagnoses and acuity levels. Private duty nursing offers traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts focused on one client. The nurse travels to one nearby client home on a schedule based on their availability. The role includes following and carrying out doctors’ orders, conducting assessments, monitoring client conditions, and documenting observations, interventions, and evaluations. BAYADA provides paid training in the office, in the home, and online; adult and pediatric simulation labs; around-the-clock clinical phone support; and electronic charting using Statewise. The posting advertises a $5,000 sign-on bonus, weekly pay, flexible scheduling, short commute times, and a $1,200 nurse referral bonus. Compensation is listed as $30–$36 per hour, with $35–$40 per hour for ongoing weekends. Benefits are subject to employment type.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
- Hold a current nursing license in good standing in the state.
- Have at least five months of LPN experience.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one client’s home near the nurse on a chosen schedule.
- Follow up on, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide hands-on, one-on-one care to clients.
