Private Duty Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes. The role offers a day-shift position, a consistent schedule tailored to the nurse’s availability, and the opportunity to build relationships with clients and observe their progress. Clients range in age from infants to geriatric patients and may have a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels. Private duty nursing offers traditional shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours and hands-on care with one client. Nurses travel to a nearby client’s home, follow and carry out doctors’ orders, complete assessments, monitor client conditions, and document observations, interventions, and evaluations. BAYADA provides paid training in the office, in clients’ homes, and online, as well as adult and pediatric simulation labs and around-the-clock clinical support by phone. Electronic charting is done using Statewise. The posting lists a $5,000 sign-on bonus and hourly compensation figures of $30–$35, $30–$36, and $35–$40 for ongoing weekend work. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, documented by school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
- A minimum of five months of LPN experience.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one client’s home according to an agreed schedule.
