About The Position

The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel, is seeking a Guest Private Dining Server. The role provides guests with a warm welcome and friendly, professional in-room service. The server is responsible for complete in-room delivery, setup, and serving duties, supporting the hotel operation during periods of demand.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar work environment at a five-star property.
• Familiarity with Forbes five-star standards.
• Previous Food & Beverage experience.
• Written and verbal fluency in English.
• Knowledge of property management systems such as Micros/Fidelio, Opera, or Toast.
• Knowledge of wines and spirits.
• Knowledge of food.
• Food and hygiene course.
• Health and safety knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in another language.

Responsibilities

• Support the hotel operation during periods of demand.
• Take guest orders and ensure they are correct and guests are satisfied.
• Liaise with other departments to maintain good communication and provide support.
• Work with housekeeping and guest relations to ensure smooth delivery.
• Maintain effective departmental communication and keep the In Room Dining Manager informed of problems or queries.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service while maintaining high standards of customer care.
• Understand the private in-room dining service flow to anticipate guests’ needs whenever possible.
• Complete in-room delivery, setup, and serving duties.
