About The Position

This is a production-focused print shop position and is not a marketing or graphic design role. The Print Shop Production Technician is a supportive role to the current digital printing and wide-format production environment. The position is responsible for completing assigned tasks in order to fulfill the daily production workload of print requests. The position reads and follows written work orders, locates stock in a warehouse environment, and stock/paper handling as required for digital and wide format printing. The position utilizes digital printing presses per an established PDF workflow, upholding production standards through bindery/finishing/manufacturing production and utilizes paper scoring, cutting, padding, jogging, folding and drilling machines appropriate per the required task. The Print Shop Production Technician is responsible for wide format finishing including trimming, cutting, paper and vinyl output, banners, laminating, mounting on various substrates and packaging finished products for delivery to fill print requests.

Requirements

• Ability to read and follow written work orders.
• Ability to locate stock in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to handle stock and paper for digital and wide format printing.
• Proficiency in using digital printing presses.
• Experience with bindery/finishing/manufacturing production.
• Experience with paper scoring, cutting, padding, jogging, folding, and drilling machines.
• Experience with wide format finishing including trimming, cutting, paper and vinyl output, banners, laminating, and mounting on various substrates.
• Ability to package finished products for delivery.
