About The Position

This position supports high-volume print and mail production that helps the agency deliver timely and accurate materials. The role requires focus, steady hands, and the ability to keep fast-moving equipment operating correctly. As a Print Production Technician, you will perform the following duties: Equipment Operation: Operate high-speed printers and inserters to produce forms, letters, manuals, and marketing materials Job Setup: Review job specifications, prepare print queues, and configure digital printers for each production run Quality Verification: Inspect printed materials to confirm proper stock, clear images, and accurate recovery from machine errors Variable Data Review: Check variable print output to ensure data appears in the correct locations and resolve print issues Color and Offset Work: Run digital offset equipment, maintain consistent color, and troubleshoot production problems Bindery and Packing: Complete hand bindery tasks and prepare finished materials for delivery System Entry: Record production activities in the print management system and monitor deadlines Maintenance Tasks: Perform daily equipment maintenance and make minor repairs and adjustments Lead Work: Assign tasks, train employees, and review completed work for accuracy

Requirements

  • One year as a Print Production Operator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Experience running production equipment.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
