About The Position

The Print Production Specialist is responsible for operating high-end equipment, including presses, copiers, and bindery machines. This role involves tasks such as fulfillment, quality control, final checks, pickup and delivery, facility maintenance, and mailroom duties. The position exists based on business needs and requires approval from the Regional Director. It reports directly to Managed Services Site Leadership. The specialist must adhere to Ricoh Service Excellence performance requirements and achieve customer satisfaction by accurately and promptly preparing, inspecting, compiling, and assembling projects. Meeting deadlines, maintaining quality, and achieving Time Productive statistics are crucial. The role also involves maintaining reporting tools, calibrating equipment for color and quality matching, transferring files electronically, and demonstrating operational knowledge of duplication equipment to produce error-free work. Maximizing print performance by performing multiple functions simultaneously and troubleshooting hardware and software issues are key responsibilities. Maintaining optimal machine performance through simple corrections and reporting equipment failures is also required. The specialist must present a professional appearance, maintain an organized workspace, manage inventories of equipment parts, and meet company attendance standards. Organizing jobs by validating information, reading instructions, and organizing supplies is part of the daily routine. The role includes performing a full range of servicing and repair procedures on complex office products, demonstrating digital competencies, and completing technical training on new equipment.

Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to use, calibrate and troubleshoot office and complex technical equipment.
  • Moderate dexterity - regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).

Responsibilities

  • Operate high-end equipment (segment 5+), including press operation, copier operation, bindery, fulfillment, QC, final check, pickup/delivery, facility maintenance, and mailroom duties.
  • Follow Ricoh Service Excellence performance requirements.
  • Manage copy and mail center services, conference rooms and AV management, convenience copier fleet management, and various support services.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction by accurately and promptly preparing, inspecting, compiling, and assembling projects.
  • Meet deadlines by working at a quick & steady pace while maintaining quality/error-free work.
  • Achieve Time Productive statistics by meeting established facility standards.
  • Maintain all required reporting tools.
  • Calibrate equipment to produce likeness in color and quality matching originals.
  • Transfer files electronically by sending files from the network to color equipment.
  • Produce "error-free/perfect work" by demonstrating operational knowledge of duplication equipment.
  • Maximize print performance as workflow permits, by simultaneously performing a minimum of two functions on print equipment.
  • Troubleshoot all hardware and software issues with equipment.
  • Maintain optimal machine performance by correcting simple machine problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, etc.) and reporting equipment failure.
  • Present a professional appearance to clients by dressing in professional attire according to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area.
  • Maintain and order inventories of equipment parts in accordance with company guidelines and processes.
  • Meet company attendance standards by reporting to work punctually and working all scheduled hours and any required overtime.
  • Organize a "job" by validating job name and number, reading instructions on the Job Request Form and organizing supplies.
  • Perform a full range of servicing and repair service procedures including diagnostics, installation, removal and retrofits on a core set of highly complex office products.
  • Demonstrate required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignments.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs or replaces equipment components as necessary.
  • Complete technical training on new equipment as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
