About The Position

The Print Operator reports directly to the Printing Supervisor and is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring printing equipment to meet production schedules and quality standards. The role includes loading production materials and supplies, monitoring print quality, making equipment adjustments, performing changeovers and cleaning, and completing production and quality records. The Print Operator also inspects finished products, operates related capping and visual inspection equipment as assigned, follows safety procedures, and works with operators, quality personnel, and maintenance staff to support efficient production.

Requirements

Ability to follow work instructions, perform basic equipment adjustments, and identify print defects.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating printing equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience with screen printing, packaging decoration, or label printing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate printing equipment according to job specifications and production requirements.
Load materials, inks, screens, and other supplies needed for each production run.
Monitor print quality, including color, alignment, registration, and overall appearance, and make adjustments as needed.
Perform changeovers, equipment cleaning, and line clearance between jobs.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic equipment issues, escalating concerns to the supervisor or maintenance team.
Inspect finished products and identify defects to ensure they meet customer specifications.
Operate related capping and visual inspection equipment as assigned.
Accurately record production quantities, scrap, downtime, and quality checks.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Work with other operators, quality personnel, and maintenance staff to support efficient production.
