About The Position

The school Principal provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and administrative direction for the Residential Treatment Center's educational program. Job duties include: ensuring compliance with Arizona Department of Education requirements, special education regulations, accreditation standards, organizational policies, and applicable behavioral health requirements. The Principal leads educational programming that integrates academic achievement, therapeutic support, positive behavioral interventions, and student-centered practices to improve outcomes for students with complex educational and behavioral health needs. This position serves as the educational leader for the RTC school and is responsible for academic performance, regulatory compliance, staff development, school improvement planning, special education services, and collaboration with residential, clinical, nursing, and administrative leadership.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, Special Education, or a closely related field
  • Valid Arizona Principal Certificate required
  • Three (3) years of full-time teaching experience
  • Three (3) years supervisory or leadership/administrative experience
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of school administration
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Ability to attend full time New Hire Orientation for two (2) weeks Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm (paid)
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
