Responsible for the overall operation and performance of Paint Creek Academy’s educational program. Maintains the integrity of the educational program; ensures the safety and well-being of students and faculty. Develops continuous improvement curriculum and maintains individual educational outcomes of all clients. Assumes responsibility for acting on student complaints and managing faculty responses to crisis events at the school. Manages the recruiting, onboarding, training and development of employees. Handles performance management and employee relations issues with support of HR. Implements and enforces system, policies and procedures in accordance with agency, charter school statutes, federal, state, and local guidelines. Assumes responsibility and authority for intake of students in school and monitoring student progress and transition planning. Develops/maintains student code of conduct consistent with Lighthouse Youth & Family Services philosophy. Creates and maintains yearly school calendar, coordinates school events, and works closely with the overall goals of the Paint Creek treatment program to support positive outcomes for clients individualized needs. Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, reviewing and approving the timely compliance of all educational reports including Individualized Educational Plans (IEPS), report card and evaluation of students for special education services. Works closely with outside agencies, educational resource systems, parents, and natural support to ensure each student obtains the maximum amount of support possible to achieve educational goals. Assures services are provided in a cost efficient manner; works within annual budget for school; maintains inventory control; approves expenditures for school program. Ensures educational facility is in good repair, citation free, clean, and attractive. Provides and maintains quality documentation, records, reports and evaluations per agency standards. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training opportunities. Supports change initiatives within service area and/or across the agency.
