Principal Technical Program Manager
About The Position
Team members bring extensive project management expertise and technical knowledge, ensuring that our data center infrastructure delivery meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability. The team plays a crucial role in supporting OCI’s data center capacity needs and driving the organization’s continued growth and success. In this role, you will be part of the Low Voltage Vendor Management (LVV) team and will collaborate with internal OCI teams and external cabling vendors to deliver new sites, support space and power expansion, and add customer capacity. The Low Voltage Vendor team is seeking experienced program managers who have worked directly in infrastructure deployment or supported continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivering data center capacity at scale. Your ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to data center delivery will be critical to maintaining project timelines. This is a high-impact role responsible for leading, driving, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical data center infrastructure builds on our roadmap. The position offers a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and requires effective engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including design, engineering, operations, supply chain, external vendors, and network delivery teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of technical program management experience.
- Proven experience leading large-scale data center or infrastructure programs.
- Strong ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and hardware deployment.
- Demonstrated success driving cross-functional alignment and execution at scale.
Nice To Haves
- Strong background in VBA, Python, PowerBI
- General enterprise storage, networking, or computing experience.
- Prior experience with network datacenter and cloud automation.
- Experience with virtualization, service initiation and maintenance, and meeting customer SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Dashboard Creation and Reporting: Own the definition, adherence, and delivery of team and org wide goals relating to quality, savings, and delivery. You will own the creation and fidelity of large data sets used to drive the decision making of the organization to improve vendor throughput. Experience in programming languages, modeling, and dashboard creation is key.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and costs.
- Project Management: Oversee a broad portfolio of global data center projects, with the goal of delivering capacity to customers on time and as efficiently as possible.
- Project Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies that reduce complexity and increase the speed of delivery for data center infrastructure projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular project status updates, conduct monthly business reviews, and address concerns promptly. Frequent communication with executive leadership is expected.
