About The Position

As a Principal Technical Product Manager at Summit, you will lead complex initiatives across products and technical domains, working with product leadership and partners across Delivery, Sales, and Marketing to turn strategic direction into clear product decisions, coordinated plans, and measurable outcomes. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Product. Your impact will come through technical product judgment, influence across teams, and mentorship that strengthens how Summit plans and delivers complex product work. You will own strategy, roadmap, and P&L outcomes end to end for Summit’s private cloud, storage, and OS management product families, from discovery through launch and adoption. You will make roadmap decisions, including what to build, defer, or stop, and explain the tradeoffs. You will engage regularly with customers, partners, Sales, and SE teams; turn customer input and data into problem statements; partner with Engineering to deliver predictable launches; and enable Sales, SEs, and channel partners to sell releases. You will also identify cross-portfolio opportunities that combine infrastructure and application-hosting products. Success includes learning the products, customers, and team quickly; publishing a revised roadmap with clear priorities within the first 90 days and shipping a meaningful release; and moving an agreed business measure within the first year, such as bookings, net revenue retention, or EBITDA margin. The role calls for urgency, independent ownership, customer curiosity, sound judgment, clear communication tailored to technical and business audiences, and the ability to raise the bar through strong product documentation and informal mentorship. Summit describes its work culture through the values of empowering people, constant elevation, customer first, focus on outcomes, and embracing curiosity. The position is remote-friendly, with work from anywhere noted among the benefits.
