About The Position

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an engineer for its AIRS data platform team to build a data platform and high-performance serving system for AI security products. The role involves designing and implementing a scalable, manageable data platform and high-performance data query services, along with self-service frameworks for data jobs and streaming data synchronization across storage systems. The engineer will take ownership of their focus areas, develop products and solutions to address real-world security problems, and collaborate with multifunctional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 8–10 years of software development experience.
• At least 8 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• At least 8 years of experience building large-scale distributed serving systems.
• 8–10 years of software development experience with Node.js, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Development experience with SQL databases, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Redis, Spark, Spark Streaming, Spark SQL, Redshift, or other data warehousing database solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the network domain.
• Experience building real-time analytics systems or machine learning systems.

Responsibilities
