Salesforce•Washington, DC
•$197,300 - $344,700

About The Position

Salesforce is hiring a Principal-level engineer for the Agentforce Operations platform, joining an agile team with startup roots that is scaling its product from early success to global, enterprise-grade operations. The engineer will work alongside engineers and product owners as a senior member of an embedded reliability team, contributing to design reviews and helping guide the platform’s technical direction. The role focuses on reliability, production excellence, performance engineering, and infrastructure automation. The engineer will own reliability roadmaps for major product areas, improve infrastructure-as-code environments, support AI/ML infrastructure and real-time data pipelines, harden observability, and optimize SQL, APIs, and cross-service communication. They will use AI development tools to automate operational work and accelerate infrastructure delivery, while collaborating closely with and mentoring members of the technical team. Salesforce describes the role as a high-autonomy position requiring ownership of issues through implementation and strong communication with stakeholders. The position is part of Salesforce’s Agentforce organization and supports its AI-powered operations platform.
