About The Position

Wells Fargo’s EFT (Enterprise Functions Technology) Group is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer in ERAFT (Enterprise Risk, Audit, and Finance Technology), an organization within EFT that delivers and supports critical technology platforms used by Risk, Audit, and Finance teams across the enterprise. The position serves as a senior technical authority for AI-driven solutions, setting architecture, design standards, engineering practices, and delivery patterns for secure, resilient, scalable, and governed agentic AI systems. It combines site reliability engineering, cloud-native development, and deployment engineering to support the availability, performance, observability, and operational excellence of enterprise AI platforms. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of AI-enabled platforms, automation and reliability initiatives, and best practices for monitoring and incident management. The role provides technical leadership for cloud-native technologies, container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering frameworks. The position partners with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available solutions for business-critical operations while maintaining security, compliance, and governance standards. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with the ability to work in an office and may require travel up to 10% if needed. It is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and relocation assistance is not available. The role also carries responsibility for following applicable risk programs and company policies, escalating and remediating issues, and making risk decisions consistent with applicable requirements.
