Principal Sales Account Manager - Aerospace and Defense

About The Position

GlobalFoundries is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Partnerships & Business Development team creating, identifying, qualifying, and securing new business within the Aerospace & Defense end market. The primary function of the Account Manager is to develop, communicate and drive overall account strategy aligned with defined Battlegrounds, to deliver robust revenue growth and market share expansion within the highest potential Aerospace and Defense clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College and or University in Engineering, Materials Sciences, Solid State Physics or Related Discipline
  • 10 Years of Semiconductor or Foundry Experience
  • 5-10 Years of Sales, Marketing or Business Development role with a proven track record
  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., Or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a) (3),
  • Must be eligible to obtain and keep a SECRET level U.S. Government security clearance and cannot have dual citizenship
  • Proficient in business software applications (e.g., CRM, word processing, presentation, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to Effectively Communicate with All Levels of an Organizational Structure
  • Language Fluency – English (Written & Verbal)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated expertise in business development with in the Defense Industrial Base or related government agencies
  • Master’s Degree from an Accredited College and or University in Engineering, Materials Sciences, Solid State Physics or Related Discipline
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordinated effect with our Technical Pre Sales Engineers and End Market Business Managers to understand client roadmaps, and to create and secure targeted opportunities allowing our clients to realize the design objectives
  • Deep engagement in the customer decision making journey, from solution creation through commercialization
  • Engage with customers to translate their design/system application requirements into next generation product definitions - be the Voice of the Customer to internal GF teams.
  • Becoming the customer’s most valued external partner by understanding critical business and technical challenges and delivering customer tailored proposals which leverage GF’s differentiated capabilities
  • Negotiate formal business agreements at the Executive level
  • Develop business proposals in response to RFI/RFQs, and drive cross organization alignment with key stakeholders carry GF’s differentiated solution to the client
  • Process quotes, forecasts in conjunction with the Customer Business Manager partners
  • Strong teamwork and inter-personal skills
  • Written and verbal communications skills is a must with the ability to Effectively Communicate with All Levels of an Organizational Structure
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
