Peach Pilot Principal Product Manager

Peach PilotAtlanta, GA
Hybrid

About The Position

Peach Pilot is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the product function outright. This role reports directly to the CEO and works as a peer to engineering and QA. The company is building an AI-native operating system for insurance agencies, starting with life insurance. The first products are live and in use, but most of the operating system is yet to be built, presenting an opportunity to shape the future of the product. The role involves deciding what to build next and ensuring product decisions drive agent production. Responsibilities include scoring and predicting leads, onboarding and coaching new agents, facilitating real-time underwriting, automating customer touchpoints, predicting and preventing chargebacks, and managing commission and upline dashboards. A significant challenge involves acquiring, encoding, and maintaining carrier rate and underwriting data. This is a startup environment where roles may blur, and the ideal candidate embraces owning outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of insurance industry experience (carrier, captive sales force, or building software sold to carriers, agencies, or IMOs).
  • Understanding of insurance distribution models (captive agents, independent agents, brokers, digital channels) and commission flow.
  • Experience delivering SaaS products within regulatory constraints and integrating with existing insurance business systems.
  • 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years as a product manager.
  • Experience in a startup or fast-growing company, operating without a playbook and owning outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and GenAI applications, including agent evaluation and understanding model output uncertainty.

Nice To Haves

  • Genuinely technical: reads TypeScript, writes SQL, reasons about APIs, works in a terminal.
  • Comfortable interacting with agency owners.
  • Bias toward shipping products and learning from agent reactions.
  • Depth of experience in GenAI work, demonstrated through sustained projects and end-to-end builds.
  • Shipped product against carrier rate or underwriting data.
  • Built evaluations for models scoring human conversations.
  • Worked with coding agents as an implementation team.
  • Carried a product through an expansion into a new line of business.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product function, deciding what gets built and in what order.
  • Carry product numbers in the company scorecard.
  • Develop products for scoring and predicting leads.
  • Build products to onboard and coach new agents to productivity faster.
  • Create functionality for real-time underwriting across multiple carriers.
  • Automate customer touchpoints across the policy lifecycle.
  • Develop features to predict and prevent chargebacks.
  • Manage the book of business, commission management, and upline dashboards.
  • Acquire, encode, and maintain carrier rate and underwriting data.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Flexible PTO
