Principal Product Manager, Remediations Experience

Horizon3•New York, NY
•$194,000 - $260,000

About The Position

Horizon3 is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and execution of the remediation, assessment, and inventory experience across its NodeZero offensive security product portfolio. The role makes remediation, assessment, and inventory a differentiated horizontal capability, connecting product areas into a coherent customer journey from asset enumeration and assessment configuration through acting on findings and verifying remediation. It also serves as the offense-side product counterpart to Precision Defense, ensuring that blue-team agent capabilities related to remediation are integrated into the same customer experience. The position owns business outcomes and commercial success for this experience, including financial performance, business planning, pricing and packaging, success metrics, product positioning, adoption, and value realization. It leads the unified assessment configuration, scheduling, authorization, and inventory experience across Internal, External, Cloud, and WebApp operation types, coordinating with their product and engineering teams. The role also owns ticketing and ITSM integrations and works with Precision Defense to shape how autonomous remediation capabilities are selected and exposed, validating customer needs before committing the roadmap. The position reports to the Sr. Manager, Product Management for Offensive Security. The required location is the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, and travel of up to 20% is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field.
  • At least 8 years of startup product management experience with technical B2B products.
  • Deep understanding of SecOps and IT teams, their needs and pain points, and market solutions addressing them.
  • Experience owning shared-service or platform capabilities used by multiple product teams.
  • Ability to work across several engineering teams without a single dedicated engineering manager counterpart.
  • Experience building reporting or evidence-generation products for security, audit, or regulated industries.
  • Technical aptitude to understand penetration-test findings, attack chains, and remediation guidance and translate them into product requirements.
  • Systems thinking and ability to maintain a consistent cross-product experience across teams focused on their own domains.
  • Strong written communication, including the ability to use modern tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to write concise documents and emails.
  • Bias toward action and ability to drive impact quickly.
  • Growth mindset, including delaying judgment and learning quickly.
  • Executive presence and experience working directly with executives to drive strategy and execute against success criteria.
  • Verbal communication skills, including thoughtful discussion of professional strengths, development areas, successes, failures, and goals.
  • Demonstrated ambition to grow professionally.
  • Servant leadership, humility, and a willingness to take ownership of problems and initiatives.
  • Ability to work from the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ticketing or ITSM integrations, such as JIRA.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, priorities, customer outcomes, execution, and commercial success of the remediation, assessment, and inventory experience across the portfolio.
  • Set retention, expansion, and net revenue targets tied to hack-fix-verify adoption, partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to achieve them.
  • Build and maintain the business plan for remediation and workflow capabilities, including customer value, revenue opportunities, investment needs, and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Shape pricing and packaging for remediation and integration capabilities, including upgrade paths and positioning within the NodeZero and Precision Defense offerings.
  • Define success metrics and lead regular business reviews covering adoption, time to remediate, retention, expansion, and customer outcomes; explain gaps and drive corrective action.
  • Partner with Marketing and Enablement on positioning, messaging, demos, battlecards, and ROI narratives for SecOps and IT buyers.
  • Monitor competitors and adjacent categories, including remediation, exposure management, and ITSM integration; apply competitive intelligence and win/loss insight to strategy and sales execution.
  • Own adoption and value realization with Customer Success, accelerating activation, deepening usage across operation types, and using churn analysis to improve retention and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Own end-to-end assessment configuration, scheduling, and authorization across Internal, External, Cloud, and WebApp operation types as a coherent experience.
  • Partner with operation-type product managers and engineering managers to define shared services versus domain-specific configuration and maintain consistency across operation types.
  • Own inventory as a shared, cross-operation-type object for enumerating and understanding customer assets, in partnership with operation-type teams.
  • Track configuration and scheduling friction through support tickets, sales engineering escalations, and field feedback, and prioritize high-leverage consistency improvements.
  • Own the unified product experience surface end to end and validate customer needs before making roadmap commitments.
  • Own ticketing and ITSM integrations, including JIRA or similar tools, as part of the remediation guidance flow.
  • Define requirements-side handoffs to engineering in a structure that avoids splitting ownership of a customer-facing flow across teams.
  • Serve as the offense-side product counterpart to Precision Defense's blue-team agent platform for continuous autonomous remediation, and co-own decisions about capabilities and their presentation to customers.
  • Ensure blue-team agent remediation capabilities are integrated into the same customer flow rather than a parallel experience.
  • Bring customer and field feedback on the desired hack-fix-verify-defend experience and translate it into shared requirements with Precision Defense product and engineering counterparts.
