About The Position

Nordhealth is hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead Vet Treat, the team responsible for core patient-care workflows in Provet, its veterinary practice management software. The role focuses on making clinical work feel effortless for veterinarians, vet technicians, and nurses while preserving the software’s clinical depth. Workflows span consultations, clinical notes, treatments and prescriptions, inpatient treatment plans, and shift handovers. The desired outcome is less time spent using software and more time caring for patients. The Product Manager owns the team’s roadmap and works with engineers and designers in a cross-functional squad. They partner with clinical teams through observation, discovery, and early prototype testing, and use customer feedback and product data to set direction. The role calls for iterative delivery, strong UX quality, coordination on shared product patterns, and clear communication about progress, risks, and priorities. Success is measured by the time required to complete core clinical tasks and by how vets and nurses rate the experience.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, including senior-level experience in B2B software.
  • Experience owning and measurably simplifying a core, high-frequency workflow used by professionals under time pressure.
  • Experience using AI to synthesize existing product feedback, NPS comments, and support tickets, combining those insights with direct user experience to shape product direction.
  • Ability to develop product strategy in ambiguous situations rather than simply execute another person’s plan.
  • Strong empathy for vets, vet techs, and vet nurses, and ability to design for the realities of clinic work.
  • Instinct for simplification and ability to use observed workarounds to identify product gaps.
  • High bar for UX craft and quality.
  • Judgment to guide a team through difficult technical problems without needing to act as the architect or write code.
  • Ability to lead through influence and clarity across the organization and within a squad.
  • Direct, low-ego, and pragmatic approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with veterinary, healthcare, or medtech software.
  • Clinical background as a vet, vet tech, vet nurse, or practice manager before moving into product.
  • Experience shipping AI-assisted features.

Responsibilities

  • Own core patient-care workflows, including consultations and inpatient treatment management, and improve the time clinicians spend on software versus patient care.
  • Own the team roadmap, using customer insights, clinical-team input, and data to prioritize work.
  • Lead a cross-functional squad of engineers and designers, involving them in understanding and solving product problems.
  • Shadow consultations and ward rounds; conduct discovery with vets, vet techs, and nurses; and test prototypes with them early and often.
  • Use hypothesis testing and iterative releases to make ongoing improvements to patient-care workflows.
  • Partner with design on research, interaction quality, and consistency, and collaborate with other product teams on shared patterns.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to the team, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Improve outcomes measured by the time core clinical tasks take and by vets’ and nurses’ ratings of the experience.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Learning and professional growth opportunities.
  • Tools needed for the role.
  • Frequent company events.
  • Opportunity to work in a meaningful industry at a fast-growing global company.
