About The Position

Amazon Advertising is seeking a Principal Product Manager-Technical to shape the future of Advertising and B2B Sales with an AI-first charter. This role is part of the Sales Intelligence, Technology and Enablement (SITE) team, focused on developing sophisticated products for front-line sales teams to identify strategic recommendations and help brands flourish within the Amazon ecosystem. The position requires a deep understanding of e-Commerce dynamics and advertising principles. The Principal Product Manager will own the creation of a multi-year strategy to identify actionable opportunities for brands based on their health, retail, and advertising performance and goals. This involves collaborating with science and engineering teams to build scalable, personalized solutions. Success requires business acumen, product management skills, technical abilities, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience technical product management
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Demonstrated ability to work across technical teams (engineering, data science, design) and translate between different disciplines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Background in AI, machine learning, or optimization systems

Responsibilities

  • Define product vision and strategy for strategic brand recommendations, creating a clear multi-year roadmap that guides engineering, science, and design efforts across the organization
  • Own the product definition for closed-loop systems that generate, score, serve, measure, and continuously improve recommendation performance
  • Establish quality and performance frameworks that define success across recommendation quality, advertiser performance, and system efficiency
  • Drive cross-organizational alignment by influencing priorities and building consensus across multiple engineering, science, and product teams
  • Communicate strategic narratives to senior leadership, contributing to planning cycles and helping executives understand the long-term opportunity in strategic recommendations
