About The Position

BombBomb pioneered video messaging to help relationship-driven professionals build authentic connections. We are evolving from a horizontal point solution into a Homebuilder-focused, AI-powered platform, and design will be central to that transformation. This shift requires more than new features; it requires a reimagined end-to-end experience tailored to a specific ICP with unique workflows, buying journeys, and communication needs. We are looking for a Principal Product & Experience Designer to own how customers experience BombBomb across product and web—from first impression through long-term value. You will partner closely with Marketing and Product Marketing, who own positioning and messaging, to translate that strategy into intuitive, high-performing customer experiences. Your mission: Design a category-defining experience for homebuilders that drives activation, adoption, and revenue growth—powered by AI and grounded in human connection.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years in product design, UX, or experience design
  • Experience in SaaS at the $10M-$100M ARR stage
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product and web experience ownership
  • Portfolio showcasing work tied to measurable business outcomes
  • Experience designing for vertical SaaS or complex, real-world workflows tied to specific industries
  • Familiarity with PLG or hybrid GTM models
  • Principal-level designer and experienced strategist who thrives in transformation moments
  • Experience designing products and experiences for specific vertical ICPs (or excitement to go deep into one)
  • Experience owning end-to-end customer journeys, not just product surfaces
  • Experience helping reposition products and translate strategy into experience
  • Experience partnering closely with Marketing or Product Marketing to translate positioning and messaging into high-performing user experiences
  • Experience driving measurable impact on conversion, activation, and retention
  • Thinks in customer journeys and workflows, not generic UX patterns
  • Thinks in systems that map to real-world use cases (e.g., homebuilder sales cycles, buyer communication, project timelines)
  • Thinks in business outcomes, not just design output
  • Customer-obsessed and curious about how homebuilders operate

Responsibilities

  • Own the Homebuilder Customer Experience: Design a cohesive, end-to-end experience tailored to the Homebuilder ICP, including lead capture, first interaction, buyer communication workflows, project and relationship lifecycle touchpoints, and internal team collaboration experiences. Translate real-world homebuilder workflows into intuitive, high-value product experiences.
  • Lead Product Design for a Verticalized Platform: Partner with Product and Engineering to evolve BombBomb into a Homebuilder-specific platform. Design workflows that reflect how homebuilders actually sell, communicate, and manage relationships, reducing complexity while increasing perceived value and moving from generic UX to deeply contextual, industry-specific experiences.
  • Lead the Classic to BombBomb 3.0 Migration Experience: Own the design of the end-to-end migration experience from Classic to BombBomb 3.0. Identify and design missing features and workflows, migration pathways that reduce friction and perceived risk, and in-product experiences that clearly demonstrate the value of BombBomb 3.0 over Classic. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth to prioritize features, design intuitive and compelling migration experiences, improve adoption, activation, and retention, and turn migration into a customer-driven upgrade experience.
  • Own Website Experience & Conversion: Partner with Marketing and Product Marketing to bring BombBomb's Homebuilder positioning and messaging to life through experience. Design and optimize the website as a high-performing growth asset, translating messaging into clear information hierarchy, intuitive page flows, and high-converting user journeys. Improve visitor-to-trial and visitor-to-demo conversion rates, clarity of value proposition, and overall usability. Treat the website as a productized experience where design ensures messaging is understood, trusted, and acted on.
  • Drive Activation & Time-to-Value: Design onboarding experiences tailored to homebuilder workflows, helping users quickly understand how BombBomb fits into their process and where AI enhances their communication. Reduce friction and accelerate "aha moments".
  • Design AI-Native Experiences: Integrate AI into core workflows such as message creation, follow-ups, and personalization at scale. Partner with Marketing to ensure AI capabilities are clearly communicated and design how they are experienced and adopted in-product, ensuring AI feels useful, assistive, and aligned with human connection.
  • Build a Scalable Design System Across Product & Web: Create a unified system that supports product consistency, faster iteration, and cross-functional alignment, reflecting a modern, AI-forward, vertical SaaS brand.
  • Act as a Cross-Functional Unifier: Partner closely with Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Growth to translate strategy into experience. Ensure messaging is clearly expressed through product and web interactions, customer journeys are cohesive, and friction is removed from key conversion and activation moments. Ensure the effectiveness of BombBomb's messaging through customer experiences.
  • Establish a Measurement & Learning Loop: Define and track key experience metrics such as time to first value, activation rate, trial-to-paid conversion, feature adoption, and retention/engagement. Continuously refine experiences based on data and user feedback.
  • Elevate High-Stakes Internal & External Communications: Own the design and experience of high-impact company communications, including customer presentations, investor and board materials, and annual reports. Partner with leadership, Growth, and Marketing to ensure these moments clearly communicate BombBomb's vision and reflect a cohesive, high-quality brand. Establish templates and scalable systems that elevate quality, drive alignment, and enable teams to move quickly.
