About The Position

Microsoft Windows Silicon & Systems Integration team (WSSI) is focused on delivering iconic end-to-end products across hardware, software, and services. A key part of this strategy is building desirable and powerful devices that enable desired experiences. This involves close partnership between hardware engineers, software engineers, designers, and manufacturing, along with industry partners. The role of Principal Partner Enablement Program Manager involves leading silicon planning and co-engineering with silicon partners, diving into silicon & software interaction, and collaborating with technical teams at Microsoft and silicon partners to drive new Windows PCs and experiences from vision to execution to release. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., hardware, systems engineering), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering. OR equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years experience in hardware/software product/service/project/program management or cross-group/cross-functional engineering. OR equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of both software and hardware lifecycles and interplay between software and hardware development and schedules.
  • Proficiency with issue tracking and project management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate business problems, alternatives, and product strategy.
  • Experience influencing without authority and driving cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead practices and rhythm of business for efficient and productive co-engineering engagement with silicon partners.
  • Identify joint investment areas from inception to market.
  • Drive collaboration with engineering, ensuring recommendations and plans are successfully pushed through the development lifecycle.
  • Ensure deep understanding of silicon partner products and roadmaps.
  • Assess cross-dependencies between silicon productization, operating system (OS) planning/development/release, and applications.
  • Drive internal & external consensus to resolve cross-dependencies.
  • Coordinate with silicon partners when they encounter issues and areas for improvement in their products/services (both in-development and in-market).
  • Analyze blockers and their impact, assembling potential resolutions.
  • Create requirements for and oversee implementation/maintenance of tools and infrastructure supporting co-engineering engagement and efficiency between Windows and silicon partners.
