About The Position

As a Principal Mass Properties Engineer, you will be a leading expert and visionary in the mass properties field, driving the strategic direction of engineering projects and innovation within the company. You will influence industry standards and mentor senior engineers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 14+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in advanced mechanical design and analysis principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Advanced experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Deep knowledge of SAWE.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, and fundamentals of flight mechanics.
  • Practices RP-7 and RP-8.
  • Experience with aircraft weighing and associated forms and charts.
  • Familiarity with Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) for military programs.
  • Prior mass properties team leadership experience.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military.

  • Lead strategic planning and development of advanced mass properties technologies.
  • Inventory and weigh aircraft.
  • Provide visionary leadership and technical direction across multiple projects.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and in technical forums.
  • Mentor senior engineers and develop technical talent within the organization.
  • Establish and influence industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering goals with business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across engineering functions.
