MaintainX (An Autodesk Company)•San Francisco, CA
•$170,000 - $296,000

About The Position

MaintainX, part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, builds a mobile-first work execution platform used by industrial and frontline teams. The Core team develops the CMMS capabilities customers use every day, including work orders, planning and scheduling, inventory and parts, reporting, and asset hierarchy. Teams include Planners, Inventory Management / Parts, Home / Reporting, Work Execution Platform, Technician Experience, and Enterprise Data Management. The role may involve joining one of these teams, including newly formed teams building a Work Execution Platform or a Technician Experience from the ground up. The Principal Full-Stack Developer leads the design and delivery of large, ambiguous projects from planning through production, sets technical direction for customer-facing workflows, and addresses challenges such as dense data-heavy interfaces, large datasets, offline behavior, and multi-site scale. The role partners with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering leadership to shape roadmaps, owns the long-term technical health of a domain, drives architecture decisions, and writes technical proposals. The position also mentors senior and staff engineers and raises standards for code review, tooling, testing, and delivery practices across teams. The successful candidate joins a team of 5 to 10 people, participates in an on-call rotation, and is expected to own the technical direction of a domain or system within the first six months. The core technology stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MySQL; some teams also use C# or Python. The company has no minimum in-office mandate but prefers employees to be located near its office hubs, including Montreal and Toronto in Canada. Compensation may include base pay, commission, an annual bonus, and equity depending on the role. Benefits vary by country; the recruiter can provide details for Canada and other countries.
