MaintainX (An Autodesk Company)•San Francisco, CA
•$170,000 - $296,000

About The Position

MaintainX is a mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. Since becoming part of Autodesk in August 2026, it has joined Autodesk Operations Solutions, which brings together Autodesk’s operations platform with Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. The Platform & Infrastructure organization builds shared services, developer tools, and release and runtime foundations used by product teams. Potential team areas include Product Foundation (identity, communication, search, integrations, and the Pantry design system), Developer Productivity (internal tooling and IDE plugins), and Release + Runtime and Testing (CI/CD, SRE, FedRAMP compliance, and QA). The Principal Full-Stack Developer sets technical direction for shared services and components, leads large and ambiguous projects from planning through production, and partners with product, design, engineering leadership, and engineers who depend on the platform. The role owns the long-term technical health of a platform domain, makes architecture decisions, mentors senior and staff engineers, and raises standards for tooling, testing, and delivery across teams. The core stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MySQL, with some teams also using C# or Python. The successful hire joins a team of 5 to 10 people, participates in an on-call rotation, and is expected to own the technical direction of a platform domain or system within the first six months. There is no minimum in-office mandate, though teams are preferred to be located near office hubs, including Montreal and Toronto in Canada. The company’s mission is to help keep the physical world running by providing useful tools to the people who maintain it. Compensation may include base pay, and depending on the role, commission, an annual bonus, and equity. Benefits differ by country; the recruiter provides details for Canada and other countries.
