About The Position

This role involves performing complex Linux systems administration, hardware qualification and delivery, and providing technical leadership in the design, development, training, performance, and delivery of Westinghouse's products and services. The position is hybrid, requiring some days onsite per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or another related field.
• 6+ years of Linux Administration experience (preferable SUSE™).
• Mindset for independently identifying, analyzing, and efficiently solving a variety of system-related problems.
• Practical experience with Networking and Network File Systems (NFS).
• Practical experience with Disk [RAID] configuration.
• Practical experience with BIOS/UEFI and iLO.
• Practical experience with multiple user authentication methods and access restriction.
• Practical experience with System patching.
• Practical experience with Linux firewall.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration of corporate Engineering Linux platforms.
• Handle delivery and hardware maintenance of qualified Linux platforms to contracted nuclear utility customers.
• Installation and configuration of the base operating system.
• Participate in the design and deployment of security updates.
• Coordinate customer site delivery and maintenance visits.
• Provide ongoing support of Linux systems in corporate and customer environments.
• Collaborate with engineering users to deploy applications and resolve issues.
