Principal, Client Delivery & Implementations

Arcesium LLCNew York, NY
$250,000 - $300,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Principal, Client Delivery & Implementations owns the end-to-end success of one or more concurrent Arcesium implementation projects for institutional clients. This is a client-leadership role that requires the judgment to navigate complex organizational environments, the credibility to partner with senior stakeholders, and the discipline to drive outcomes when competing priorities and structural complexity create headwinds. Your client counterparts will be senior operations leaders, CFOs, CTOs, and COOs — accomplished professionals with deep expertise in their own businesses. They are entrusting Arcesium with a consequential technology transformation while continuing to run their operations. Your job is to make that dual burden as manageable as possible by leading the engagement with clarity, foresight, and rigorous execution. Arcesium’s implementation teams bring deep expertise in the domain (fund accounting, reconciliation, treasury, investor services) and in the product. This role adds a complementary layer: seasoned experience in leading complex client engagements where organizational dynamics, competing priorities, and multi-stakeholder alignment are as important to success as technical execution. You will be the person on each engagement who anticipates how the natural complexity of enterprise transformation will affect the project — and acts on that anticipation proactively.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in enterprise software implementation delivery, with at least 5 years in a client-facing leadership role where you were accountable for the outcome, not just the plan.
  • Experience leading engagements with diverse stakeholder dynamics — where success required building alignment across stakeholders with different levels of enthusiasm, different priorities, and different relationships to the technology being implemented.
  • A track record of managing the transition from sales to implementation. You have taken ownership of aligning client expectations with delivery scope, navigating situations where the two were not fully synchronized, and doing so in a way that strengthened the client relationship.
  • Demonstrated commitment to documentation discipline. You maintain rigorous records of decisions, scope changes, and rationale even when the pace of the project makes it tempting to skip.
  • Experience with data migration and legacy system transitions in environments where the migration process itself surfaced complexity that neither side fully anticipated. You have led clients through discovery phases with transparency and patience, framing challenges as shared problems to solve.
  • Comfort navigating organizational change on the client side. You have maintained project continuity and stakeholder trust through leadership transitions, team changes, and evolving priorities within client organizations — without losing momentum.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create multiple representations of the same information for different audiences — executive summaries, detailed narratives, visual timelines, risk registers — and the judgment to know which format serves each audience best.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial services or fintech strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Client Partnership at the Leadership Level: Build and maintain trusted relationships with client executives (COO, CFO, CTO) alongside the day-to-day project team. Establish steering committees and executive touchpoints as forums for shared visibility, ensuring that leadership on both sides has a clear, consistent view of project progress and risks.
  • Stakeholder Alignment Across Complex Organizations: Develop a nuanced understanding of each client’s organizational structure, decision-making processes, and internal priorities. Recognize that different stakeholders bring different perspectives shaped by their roles and responsibilities, and tailor your engagement approach accordingly to build alignment and maintain momentum.
  • Expectation Management Across Transitions: Ensure continuity between the sales and implementation phases, taking ownership of aligning what was envisioned with what will be delivered. Manage onboarding of new stakeholders who join mid-project, ensuring they have the context needed to engage productively without losing the ground already covered.
  • Documentation as a Shared Asset: Build and enforce a documentation practice where every scope evolution, decision rationale, and priority shift is captured in durable written form. This provides both Arcesium and the client a shared, reliable record.
  • Delivery Execution Through the Team: Work through Arcesium’s existing PMO, FDSA, and FDDS staff — coaching them on stakeholder engagement while leveraging their product and domain expertise. Amplify their effectiveness by providing the senior client-leadership layer that complex engagements demand.
  • Go-Live and Transition Leadership: Recognize that the transition to production is a high-stakes moment for client organizations and lead accordingly. Design hyper-care plans that provide visible, steady support during the critical post-go-live period, building client confidence through responsiveness and transparency.
