Principal Algorithm & Signal Processing Engineer

STR•Woburn, MA
•$206,000 - $284,000

About The Position

The Electronic Warfare and Novel Capabilities Group develops advanced signal-processing algorithms and prototype systems for next-generation radar and electronic warfare technologies. The group investigates emerging technologies and collaborates with STR engineers, academic researchers, industry partners, and customers to address RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges. The Principal Engineer will develop advanced algorithms for RF sensing, sensor decision-making, and autonomous electronic warfare, including areas such as signal detection and classification, electronic support measures, electronic attack and protection, cognitive EW, and advanced RF sensing. The role leads projects, proposal efforts, and multidisciplinary teams across STR campuses; advises and mentors fellow researchers, scientists, and engineers; and works with customers to understand mission needs and develop technical approaches, proposal strategies, and program plans. The position spans research through prototype development and transition toward operational use. Opportunities are available at STR offices in Massachusetts, Virginia, and Ohio, and qualified applicants at multiple experience levels are encouraged to apply.
