About The Position

The Electronic Warfare and Novel Capabilities Group (EWNC) develops advanced signal-processing algorithms and prototype systems for next-generation radar and electronic-warfare technologies. The group collaborates with engineers across sectors and divisions, as well as academic and industry partners, to develop practical solutions to RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges. The Lead Algorithm & Signal Processing Researcher develops state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques for sense-making and sensor decision-making, including signal detection and classification, electronic support measures, attack and protection, and cognitive electronic warfare. The role focuses on developing innovative technologies that progress from advanced research into operational prototype systems. The position is ideally suited to a Lead Engineer, and applicants with closely aligned qualifications are encouraged to apply. Opportunities are available at multiple experience levels in MA, VA, and OH. STR is a technology company specializing in advanced research and development for defense, intelligence, and national security. Its work includes cyber; next-generation sensors, radar, sonar, communications, and electronic warfare; and artificial intelligence algorithms and analytics. STR describes its work environment as collaborative and supportive of deep technical understanding and recognition of team contributions. The role requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is required.
