About The Position

Unity Hospice is seeking a Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the Meng Residence. The role provides ongoing care and coordination for patients and families. Services and procedures are delegated, assigned, and supervised by a Unity RN based on the RN’s comprehensive assessment of the patient’s personal care needs and are documented in the Activities of Daily Living Plan of Care. When census is higher, the CNA will be cross-trained to support the community team. This may include managing a small patient caseload, working as a float CNA, and providing care in patients’ homes or other facilities to help maintain consistent, high-quality care as needs fluctuate. The regular schedule rotates between two 6:00 PM–6:30 AM shifts per week: Friday and Saturday in Week 1, and Sunday and Tuesday in Week 2. The role includes a minimum every-other-weekend rotation, approximately 10–15 on-call shifts per year, and approximately 1–2 holiday shifts per year, each 12 hours. Unity describes its team environment as supportive and collaborative and emphasizes Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity, Compassion, and Accountability. Benefits are available to new employees on the first of the month following their hire date.
