About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join their team at the Rush City Correctional Facility. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services, including medical assessments, evaluations, and treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues. The physician will also manage chronic medical conditions and participate in disease and injury prevention initiatives within a correctional setting. The position operates under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or Statewide Medical Director, collaborating with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Active and unrestricted Minnesota medical license or the ability to obtain one.
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check.
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assessments and evaluations.
- Provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues.
- Provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions.
- Participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting.
- Works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director.
- Collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.
