About The Position

A community-based acute care hospital in western North Carolina is seeking a CT Technologist to join its Imaging Services team. This position offers a unique four-day workweek schedule (Monday-Thursday, 3:00 p.m.-1:30 a.m.) with three days off each week, providing a consistent schedule without rotations. The role includes an $8,000 sign-on bonus and a base salary range of $62,816–$84,804, depending on experience and qualifications. The hospital is open to candidates who are ARRT registered and willing to obtain CT certification within one year of employment.

Requirements

Associate Degree
Current ARRT registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
CT certification through ARRT or the ability to obtain CT certification within one year of hire or transfer into the position

Responsibilities

Perform CT imaging while providing essential patient communication and clinical attention.
Review patient histories and physician orders before imaging.
Explain procedures and equipment to patients.
Position patients and perform diagnostic CT examinations.
Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition.
Review images for diagnostic quality and identify need for corrective imaging or repositioning.
Follow radiation, patient, and equipment safety standards.
Perform quality-control checks.
Recognize, troubleshoot, and report equipment issues.
Accurately enter, transmit, and report imaging information.
Participate in continuing education and performance-improvement activities.
Work closely with other members of the imaging and clinical teams, focusing on image quality, patient safety, and patient experience.
