Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. This role involves reviewing blueprints, calculating machining factors, observing machine operations, verifying conformance to specifications, and communicating with supervisors to resolve challenges. The machinist will also organize time independently to complete jobs efficiently, complete reports, and inspect their own work and the work of others when instructed. Other duties as assigned.
