About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality medical care to veterans in Oswego, New York. The role collaborates with an integrated primary care team (PACT) to deliver comprehensive outpatient management and support superior clinical outcomes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Combined academic training and primary care or ambulatory care Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Active, unrestricted APRN or Nurse Practitioner license.
• National Board Certification in Family, Adult, or Gerontological Primary Care.
• Credentialed and in good standing under federal or veteran healthcare guidelines.
• Active, unrestricted DEA registration.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a government or veteran healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and manage primary care patients in an outpatient setting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain continuous patient management plans.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, ECGs, and laboratory tests.
• Prescribe medications and advise patients on treatment, nutrition, and mental health maintenance.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately within 24 hours of patient encounters.
• Adhere to government and federal healthcare guidelines, formulary protocols, and compliance standards.
