About The Position

The Primary Care Clinic Manager directs the clinic’s daily operations and patient experience, including front- and back-office workflows, staffing, physical environment, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance. The manager leads clinical support and administrative teams and collaborates with medical providers and the Population Health team to achieve quality and value-based care targets.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day front- and back-office workflows to support patient check-in, rooming, clinical processing, and discharge.
Monitor operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
Help resolve complex patient complaints and inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
Maintain the clinic’s physical environment, including medical and office equipment procurement, inventory tracking, and preventive maintenance.
Lead, coach, and mentor clinical support teams, including Medical Assistants and Triage Nurses, and administrative staff.
Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, continuous training, and annual competency assessments for direct reports.
Manage staff master schedules and paid time off (PTO) tracking, and arrange daily operational coverage to minimize productivity gaps.
Conduct regular performance reviews and address personnel issues or disciplinary actions in alignment with Human Resources policies.
Contribute to preparation of the annual clinic operating budget, monitor monthly expenses, and explain line-item variances.
Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, RHC (Rural Health Clinic), state department of health regulations, and internal security policies.
Partner with lead medical providers and the Population Health team to meet Value-Based Care and Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) metric targets.
