About The Position

This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, managing their requirements and ensuring a strong relationship. The Pricing Specialist I will be responsible for analyzing data and calculating pricing according to SEWS standards, with a focus on wire harnesses for new automotive models. The position also involves assisting with accounts receivable collections and identifying opportunities to expand SEWS business. Key duties include acting as the primary sales contact, generating pricing based on electrical drawings and SEWS standards, managing pricing and analyzing cost gaps, negotiating future business, analyzing cost structures to improve financial results, developing department standards, supporting cost reduction activities, and leading projects as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
1-3 years accounting, purchasing or pricing experience required.
Excellent skills in math, data analysis, and use of PC and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Effectively function in a multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

1-5 years experience in automotive industry preferred, but not required.
Bilingual in Japanese preferred but not required.
Ability to multi-task, be self-directed, and experience with cost analysis/pricing systems/drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as a window person for customers.
Obtain customer requirements and report them to related section.
Analyze data and calculate pricing based on SEWS standards.
Assist in collection of outstanding accounts receivables.
Respond to customer requirements quickly in order to maintain good relationship.
Expand SEWS business opportunities.
Act as the primary Sales contact to the customer for specific commodities or vehicles.
Generate pricing for wire harnesses based on SEWS standards and new automotive model requirements.
Manage pricing and analyze cost gaps from previous levels based on electrical drawings.
Work as a part of a team to help negotiate and secure future business.
Analyze the cost structure for both current and new products to develop strategies to improve financial results.
Assist in the development of department standards and procedures.
Support internal cost reduction activities, accounts receivable collections, and other activities as required.
Be detail oriented, able to support others, and lead projects as required.
