About The Position

This position at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. serves as a primary sales contact for customers regarding specific commodities or vehicles. The main responsibility is generating pricing for wire harnesses based on SEWS standards and new automotive model requirements. The role involves analyzing data, calculating pricing, managing pricing, and analyzing cost gaps from previous levels based on electrical drawings. Additionally, the Pricing Specialist will work as part of a team to negotiate and secure future business, analyze cost structures for current and new products to develop strategies for financial improvement, and support internal cost reduction activities, accounts receivable collections, and other required activities. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to support others, and lead projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-3 years accounting, purchasing or pricing experience required.
• Excellent skills in math, data analysis, and use of PC and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multi-task, be self-directed.
• Effectively function in a multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

• 1-5 years experience in automotive industry preferred, but not required.
• Bilingual in Japanese preferred but not required.
• Experience with cost analysis/pricing systems/drawings preferred.

Responsibilities
