Pricing Intern
About The Position
The Pricing Intern participates in an 11-week summer immersion program at Werner Enterprises, applying classroom learning in a real-world setting. The paid internship includes dedicated job training, learning opportunities, and a collaborative, inclusive work environment. The position is based at the corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska; some remote and off-site opportunities may be available. Paid housing or housing assistance may be available. The intern assists with pricing proposals and analysis for transportation services across various modes, supports pricing documentation and databases, and works with teams across sales, operations, and account management. Internship development activities include Lessons with Leaders sessions, a mentor program, intern activities, community support events, networking, and a summer project proposal and presentation.
Requirements
- Currently attending an accredited college or university at the junior level.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing pricing proposals for transportation services across various modes.
- Assist in analyzing shipment data, customer profiles, and cost models to support pricing decisions.
- Participate in special projects related to cost analysis, shipping patterns, and pricing optimization.
- Support the team in updating pricing databases and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and account management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
