As the Pricing and Promotions Strategy Manager/Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Cepheid’s commercial strategy – driving revenue growth, market competitiveness, and customer value across our diagnostics portfolio. You will lead the development of pricing frameworks and promotional strategies that align with business objectives and support sustainable growth. We are seeking a strategic and analytical Pricing and Promotions Strategy Manager/Senior Manager to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of pricing models and promotional programs across Cepheid’s portfolio. This high-impact role is responsible for ensuring our pricing and promotional strategies are market-relevant, customer-centric, and aligned with both short- and long-term commercial goals. You will partner closely with marketing, product management, finance, value & access, and global commercial teams to ensure pricing decisions are data-driven, scalable, and support value-based selling. You will also own the development of targeted promotional programs that drive urgency, support sales execution, and contribute to achieving annual revenue targets. This position reports to the Pricing and Promotions Strategy Director and is part of the North America Marketing organization. This role will be fully remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field with 8+ years of relevant work experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience in pricing strategy, commercial marketing, or revenue management within diagnostics, medical devices, biotech, or life sciences
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing pricing models and promotional programs that drive commercial results
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align pricing and promotional strategies with broader financial and strategic goals
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in pricing analytics, market modeling, and performance tracking

  • Familiarity with U.S. healthcare market dynamics, including reimbursement, contracting, and value-based pricing
  • Proficiency with pricing tools, CRM platforms, and financial modeling software
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations related to pricing and promotions in healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Pricing Strategy: Create pricing frameworks that reflect market dynamics, customer segmentation, and product value. Ensure strategies drive profitability, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
  • Lead Promotions and Commercial Enablement: Design and manage targeted promotional programs aligned with business goals. Equip commercial teams with tools, playbooks, and training to effectively execute and communicate offers.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Value & Access, and Global Product Management to align pricing and promotional strategies across functions and markets.
  • Leverage Insights for Optimization: Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive pricing to inform strategy. Use data to identify opportunities for pricing optimization and promotional innovation.
  • Support Business Planning and Forecasting: Contribute to annual planning with pricing and promotional inputs for revenue forecasts, scenario modeling, and strategic planning. Share accountability for commercial performance metrics.
