About The Position

Are you passionate about driving consumer-facing strategies with direct impact on the Merchandise line of business for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts? Do you have a passion for thinking strategically to deliver unparalleled results? Are you passionate about bridging the gap between data and storytelling? As a Pricing Analyst you will develop, analyze and execute pricing strategies and specific tactics to maximize overall profitability in a fast-paced environment. You will also look to identify revenue and profit growth opportunities, evaluate the financial impact of changes to the business, and provide revenue assumptions and projections for new concepts. A successful Analyst will have a natural curiosity of the business and passion for continuous improvement through business insight and collaborative partnerships.

Requirements

  • Relevant business analytics experience
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data and analysis to partners at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional analytical synthesis skills; the ability to look past the 'how' of a calculation to explain the 'why' of the result, with an ability to consolidate multiple sources of information/analyses into a cohesive story/recommendation
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude, generating innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Data analytics experience and exposure to SQL and Tableau, with aptitude to write queries and build financial models
  • Proven ability to build high-impact presentations that simplify complex concepts for an executive audience

Nice To Haves

  • Pricing and/or revenue management experience
  • Knowledge of Disney Theme Park & Resorts operations, business units, and product offerings
  • Familiarity with the Disney Merchandise line of business or outside retail
  • Business acumen with proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience in SQL

Responsibilities

  • Identify revenue and profit growth opportunities, evaluate the financial impact of changes to the business, present pricing decisions to a broad audience
  • Support the implementation and project management of pricing led initiatives
  • Synthesize complex and large data sets into cohesive strategic narratives, ensuring that every recommendation is backed by a deep understanding of business drivers rather than just numerical outputs
  • Engage in a variety of key partnerships as part of the Pricing team to ensure alignment and long-term success across organizations
  • Develop, audit, and evolve reporting on an ad-hoc and recurring basis, monitor industry trends and gather competitive benchmarking information
  • Identify 'the story behind the numbers' to alert leadership of emerging trends or risks
  • Build and deliver presentations to partners and clients at various levels within the organization
  • Proactively challenge existing pricing and assumptions, utilizing critical thinking to identify gaps in current logic and proposing innovative, data-driven alternatives
