About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Preventive Caseworker to join their team at their program in Newburgh, NY. This is a full-time opportunity with a pay rate of $20.19/hour. The role involves conducting casework contacts through home visits and phone calls, managing a caseload of approximately 16 cases, documenting case notes within the Connection system, communicating with local programs and resources, and providing advocacy.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in social work or similar field
• Valid driver's license and a reliable form of transportation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong crisis intervention and engagement skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively
• Basic computer proficiency and experience
• Ability to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Conducts casework contacts through home visits and phone calls.
• Manages a caseload of approximately 16 cases.
• Documenting case notes within the Connection system.
• Communicating with programs and resources in the area.
• Advocacy.
