About The Position

As a Press Operator in the manufacturing facility in Bluffton, Ohio, you will operate and maintain printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. The role involves setting up the press, monitoring its operation, making adjustments, and performing routine maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation, meet production standards, and minimize waste and downtime. You will collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain product specifications. The position is available across first, second, and third shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating printing presses or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, blueprints, or technical specifications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including first, second, or third shifts as required.
• Attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

• Certification or formal training in press operation or related manufacturing processes.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues on printing equipment.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate printing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Monitor press operations to ensure quality standards and efficient production.
• Adjust press settings, including speed, pressure, and alignment, to optimize output and reduce waste.
• Perform routine maintenance and clean press equipment to prevent malfunctions and extend machine life.
• Inspect printed materials for defects and coordinate with quality control to address issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and promptly report operational problems to supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies to help ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members across shifts to support smooth handoffs and consistent production quality.
