About The Position

This role is responsible for operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality parts. The operator will champion a safety-first culture, read and interpret prints, manage bend programs, select tooling, perform maintenance, collaborate with QC inspectors, and maintain accurate production documentation. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–4 years of experience operating Amada press brakes or similar equipment
  • Strong understanding of shop math, units of measurement, and tolerance requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams with high attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and correct defects in real time
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift in an active manufacturing environment
  • Ability to regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and occasional risk of electrical shock
  • Must be able to work onsite during night shift hours in a fast-paced production setting
  • Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots)
  • Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training
  • Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents

Responsibilities

  • Champion a Safety-First culture, promoting safe practices across the team at all times.
  • Read and interpret prints, diagrams, and work orders to make precise machine and tooling adjustments that ensure accurate bends.
  • Utilize machine computer systems to retrieve, load, and manage bend programs efficiently.
  • Select appropriate tooling and perform routine machine maintenance in accordance with the Operation Manual.
  • Partner with QC Inspectors to conduct First Article Inspections and implement corrective adjustments to eliminate defects.
  • Accurately complete fabrication records, traveler papers, and other production documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area, machine, and tooling to support a safe and efficient environment.
