About The Position

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for safely and accurately forming parts to meet production standards, quality expectations, and TAKT times. This role supports daily production by following standard work, identifying issues early, and helping keep the work area organized, efficient, and ready for the next job.

Requirements

  • Experience operating a CNC brake press or other metal fabricating equipment, such as laser, plasma, or turret punch
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, including the safe use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and position items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills, including the ability to follow written instructions and complete routine calculations
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and improve
  • Ability to identify problems and help bring forward solutions

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate the CNC press brake to form parts according to work orders, drawings, and specifications
  • Read and follow blueprints, measurements, and job instructions to ensure parts are formed correctly
  • Verify material type, thickness, tooling, and equipment are ready before starting each job
  • Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery used in the press brake work cell
  • Inspect formed parts for accuracy, quality, and consistency
  • Make basic adjustments to tooling, programs, or setup as needed
  • Complete work accurately and within TAKT time
  • Perform line changeovers as required
  • Track and record production information
  • Complete daily 5S requirements to keep the area clean, safe, and organized
  • Identify issues, delays, or defects and communicate them to the Assistant Coach or Head Coach
  • Participate in morning huddles, end of day Hansei meetings, and problem-solving activities
  • Complete other duties as assigned
