About The Position

The Press/ Automation Engineer specifies, procures, develops, integrates, and validates solutions for press and automation systems in stamping plants. The role performs complex mechanical-system design analysis and collaborates with cross-functional teams, controls engineering, and IT partners to establish system requirements and assess existing system performance. It leads root-cause analysis and corrective actions, diagnoses technical issues, and applies engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes and the accuracy, reliability, speed, and overall performance of press and automation systems. The engineer also supports production-staff training on system operation and maintenance, maintains documentation for machine, equipment, and system design and implementation, and works with engineering functions, suppliers, and plant personnel on cost reduction and manufacturing improvements. The position requires 50% domestic travel to client sites and follows a hybrid work policy of three days in the office and two days remotely; the employee must be able to report to a local office.
